No, Tedy is not insurance. It's SAAS (Software as a Service) software that allows employers to allocate funds to their teams for reimbursement of expenses based on their individual needs within the categories chosen by the employer.
Tedy's pricing follows a software subscription model, with a fixed rate per employee per month, for total cost predictability. There are no commissions on the amounts allocated to your employees. No, there is no minimum amount. You decide. Tedy lets you set up a program that respects your budgetary reality, as well as the frequency of accumulation of amounts, whether monthly or annually. You're in control.

You can program automatic allocations on a monthly and/or annual basis. What's more, via the recognition module, you can add spontaneous, one-off amounts to your team's (or a specific employee's) portfolio to mark an achievement, an important date, or the attainment of a goal, for example.
Tedy works like an expense account. When you allocate an amount to your employees, that amount is "virtual" and you don't have to disburse it until it's used. Only when an employee makes a Tedy-approved claim is the amount deducted from you and then reimbursed to the employee. If the employee doesn't spend, you don't, which is great for your cash flow.
When a claim is made by an employee, Tedy takes care of everything. The platform analyzes the claim and its eligibility. If approved, your employees will receive their reimbursement directly into their account via Interac transfer. So there's no need to make special payments or overburden your accounting team.
The choice is yours. Tedy allows you to set a deadline for using available allowances. You can choose not to activate this function, in which case unused amounts are simply carried over to the following year.
You can withdraw or schedule the withdrawal of an employee in just a few clicks. If an employee is withdrawn and an amount remains in his/her account, this amount simply disappears, as it will never be debited to the employer. It is up to the employer to decide whether access to Tedy is withdrawn at the time of the departure announcement or at the actual time of the employee's departure.

No. Since Tedy is not a group insurance plan, you don't have to include all your employees. You can use Tedy for a business unit, a specific team, a different office, or for the entire company. However, if you sign up for our telemedicine options like Telus Health or the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), you'll need to include all your employees.
Yes, all reimbursements processed through Tedy are taxable benefits, including healthcare expenses. For tax purposes, the amounts reimbursed to your employees are equivalent to a salary bonus. Tedy generates real-time utilization reports, making it easy to automatically send reports for tax filing.
Confidentiality is fundamental at Tedy. Amounts invoiced to employers show only the amount claimed and the employee's name, without revealing the category or details of the claim. In the event of an audit, we allow employers to requisition certain details on specific invoices. Contact us directly for such requests.
On amounts reimbursed to your employees: no, because they are considered a salary bonus, so the portion of sales taxes reimbursed by the employer is not eligible for the input tax credit (ITC).
On Tedy software costs: yes, this is a taxable expense eligible for ITCs.
